WHAT IS PRESERVATHERM?
PreservaTherm is a specialist paint to help reduce condensation problems and protect decor by making surfaces to which it is applied more resistant to the buildup of moisture and mould growth. It can be used on walls and ceilings in commercial, industrial and domestic buildings, is suitable for overpainting or wallpapering and can be applied on a DIY basis for maximum cost effectiveness.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
PreservaTherm works by providing a thermal barrier to increase the surface temperature of wall/ceiling surfaces, which helps delay the onset of surface condensation.
Secondly, atmospheric moisture is absorbed, reducing droplet formation and releasing the trapped moisture as vapour when the relative humidity drops.
The difference in temperature between treated and non-treated surfaces can actually be felt by touch and can also help prevent warm air escaping from the property, which may lead to reduced heating costs.
